A good one for the kids. Wasn't quite sold on Nicolas Cage providing Astro Boy's Dad's voice, but everything else worked pretty well.

This Americanized copy of a great Japanese creation is no relation to The Lion King of Kimba The White Lion.

The kids really enjoyed this movie and my son is now (gratefully) an Astro boy fan instead of a Ben 10 fan. Quite sad/scary at the beginning when 'Toby' is vapourised, but my children didn't appear upset at all as this film dosn't seem to go to heavy on the emotions, more the action.

Wow what a movie. I am a kid of 48 and I loved it. Some underlying themes of pollution and loss of loved one, greed vs goodness made this also enjoyable for those not enamoured by the story line. Many of these issues are happening to day.... good story line, good action, good emotion ( yep I cried when the Astroboy was 'resurrected') worth watching

As a fan of the original series and at the very creation of Anime I could only see improvement but the movie fell short. Bad plot line mixed with annoying characters couldnt lift this to its once great predecessor.

More than just an animation with many insightful ideas and issues. It comes to show that being human does not equate to automatic possession of humanity. A wonderful movie that will entertain the kids and enjoyable to the grown-ups.

The script was a little melodrammatic, but it was entertaining. Very good for kids - not so much for adults.

Most five year olds would struggle to sit through this movie. If you are an adult dont bother at all.

Good movie, without taking anything away from the orginal television series. The computer animation makes it more crisp, but i feel it does take a little bit away from what you expect from a classic childrens television show. Astro Boy for a new generation to love.

Really quite cheesy and we just kept waiting for the story to actually start... Not a complete waste of time but I think childhood Astro Boy fans would be disapointed. Maybe it was just cool because I was little back in the day?

A very solid hollywood product, but not as good as the 1980s or even the 2003 animated versions. Although the voice acting and the scenes are first rate, there is something missing for all of us who were expecting something more akin to the animated series. Four stars for the fans of the tv-series, but five stars for kids.
