Gripping, thought-provoking and visceral, Armadillo takes you behind the lines with Danish forces at the Armadillo Base in Helmand Southern Afghanistan. We follow four young men on their first tour serving, less than one kilometre away from Taliban forces, an enemy that is nearby but rarely seen. As the fighting intensifies the effects of modern warfare are gradually realised, as exhaustion fear and adrenaline set in.

Probably the best bit of cinema, fiction or documentary, I've seen about Iraq or Afghanistan. It's quite something. Shot with such beauty as well

This is actually a documentary, and has Danish vocab with sub-titles. It was OK, but a little slow in parts.
