Funny, silly movie. Same kind of humour seen in other movies with the same actors/director.
Best comedy ever. Must see!
Not as great as I was hoping for, although this movie still provided a few good laughs. The all star cast was a bonus. Bloopers were very funny.
This wasn't as bad as everyone had told me. Just a bit bad in places but some funny bits in there as well
Spent the entire movie hoping it would get better. In the end it did improve so I gave it 1 star instead of none. Not my type of humour.. if you can call it humour.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Not the best Will Ferrell movie you could see, but still enjoyable if you like this type of low brow satire. Not sure if a sequel (planned for 2010) is a good idea however.
Don't act like your not impressed! This movie is fun and easy to watch if your into the unique humour that comes with a Wil Farrel movie.
Is this the worst movie ever made? I suspect it's way up there with "Country Life" and "Shoes of the Fisherman".
Will Ferrell wrote this and thought it was funny? Will Ferrell then acted in it and thought he was funny? He was pathetic. Christina Applegate (who was not bad) should get herself a new agent). Only one laugh in the whole movie. Dumb, dumb, dumb!!!!
I wanted to see what all the hype was about so I decided to give this movie a go. There are a few funny bits but I think you probably need to be high or have the same warped sense of humour as Will Ferrell to really enjoy the film. It was passable but I wouldn't sit through it again.
Quite good fun - silly in parts but light hearted. worth a look
Will Ferrell at his best! Even my husband laughed and that's saying something!
I loved it!
Hilarious movie, Will Ferrell is a crack up in this one!
For the most part, this film is ridiculous ... it's all about Ferrell & his unique if not crazed humour .. the cameos were a treat, as was Christina Applegate who really shone in this one .. when it wasn't totally stupid (Will's exchanges with his dog?) it was funny & my 12 y/o son loved it.
a very funny movie from the carell/rudd/ferrel/apatow group. Vince Vaughan also good.
enjoyed it but a little on the corny gag side like top gun
funny as!! You must watch this movie!
Sheer lunacy, this lampoon of ‘70s media sexism loosely centres on a TV newsroom invasion by ambitious Veronica Corningstone played by curvaceous Christina Applegate. Will Farrell is the macho, vain and egocentric, but mostly likable, Ron Burgundy, San Diego’s TV news number one anchorman who does not want to share the limelight. Steve Carell as Brick Tamland, the weatherman is dumber than dumb, and is the funniest of the news casting team. There are gags galore, but look for the hilarious subtitled exchange between Burgundy’s dog, Baxter, and a Kodiak bear. Like a 20 second grab of uninspiring news this movie nevertheless entertains, if that makes sense!
A few little chuckles but not something I would watch again.
Very Funny movie, Will Farrell at his best!
A perfect film for people with a more down to earth sense of humor
This movie is hilarious. Not to be missed
american comedy? I don't get it! YUK!
Fantastic with lots of belly laughs! A real classic!
For fans of Will Ferrell this movie is definitely worth checking out. It has a couple of golden moments.
I didn't find the Anchorman funny at all. It was quite boring.
I expected a little more from Will Farrel. Not as funny as I expected.
With all the stars in this movie this movie should have been hillarious, unfortunately it was far from that
Typical dumb American comedy with a few hilarious scenes.
Not bad, but quite silly in some parts.
I just didn't get it? sorry to those who did!
If you have an IQ of 40 or under this silly flick might entertain you, otherwise forget it.
Was excepting to be hilarious, film did have it's moments but didn't live up to expectations
You need a warped sense of humour for this one. I haven't laughed in a movie so much in ages!
The only reason I didn't give it a Don't Bother is because one scene made me laugh hard. Other than that, it was painfully stupid, and not in a fun movie way.
Remember Christina Applegate from "Married With Children"? Well, she's in this flick playing the determined (botox'd?) anchorwoman who is hopelessly smitten with the bearded one, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell). Some great one liners especially after the news broadcasts, when the two exchange snide insults disguised as cheery post-news banter, as the credits roll.
I just didn't get the humour, it wasn't funny to me at all. Although some people may find it amusing I suppose.
Very funny movie, bloopers and cut scenes in the extras were hilarious also. Any movie made by cast members of Saturday Night Live is wgood for a laugh. They've never let me down yet.
Pretty wooden I'm afraid. Satire needs to be so exact to work; witness, The Castle.
Very daft and very funny - check out the number of cameos too!
I love Will Ferrell but in this movie, I found him a little overbearing.
There were moments of humour in this film, however they were rare.
Not as funny as expected. Preferred his previous movies.
It was a great idea for a film and it could have been a funny, biting, satirical comedy but instead they went for broad humour and prat-falls and ruined it.
