Hollywood movie showing how Americas legal system is soooo good. Honesty freeing a few negroes due to an administration error whilst leaving a hole race in slavery isn't my idea of good work. Never the less, nice costume drama and Spielberg does a half decent job in directing.

Was a bit of a slow start - was tempted to pull the pin on it early on as being just another bad selection - but came good about a quarter of the way through and became an excellent movie made even more interesting by the movie being based on actual history. Was quite a long movie but in the end was well worth watching

Really enjoyed this movie - great directing by Spielberg with fabulous cast in particular Anthony Hopkins and also Matthew McConaughey and Djimon Hounsou as the captive slave were all brilliant. The start was pretty brutal & violent (not for the squeamish) but certainly very graphically depicted the horrors faced by the captive slaves. All in all, a terrific movie

Another good thoughtful reflection from Spielberg full of immense characterisation and emotional highs and lows.

One of Spielberg's best. Strangely relevant, even today.

Great cast, well acted. Anthony Hopkins marvellous as usual. I just loved this movie, especially the misunderstandings with language. Really quite funny, gave some light relief to a very dramatic movie.
