American Warships (2012)

Sometimes even one star is too many. Comfortably the very worst film I have ever watched.In a league of it's own. I think everybody should be made to watch this movie just to prevent it happening again,isn't there a convention against this sort of torture?

Great action packed, futuristic movie. Excellent acting and directing

Fantastic movie with excellent acting. The effects were mind blowing and must say it's one of the best Alien naval movies i've seen. Recommend highly.

It was ok but it seemed a bit of a bitzer to us.

A try hard attempt at Battleship. Low budget, bad acting letdown. Don't waste your time.

Thought this movie a poor sub standard "B" grade film. At times I was mistaken and thought we had selected a comedy. The special effects were 60's Science fiction movie standard. Wouldn't recommend this film any where.

This is possibly one of the worst movies I have every seen! The special affects were Artari 2600 like, the acting was average to below, the lines and plot were just as bad and the Military inacuracies were glaring!!! Do not hire this movie, unless you like all of what I have just written.

Although similar to battleship & battle Los Angeles etc, still enjoyed the low budget movie, the effects to me were still good and enjoyed watching.

Don't bother,terrible movie.

This movie has it all...lousy acting, completely stupid lines, and some seriously sub-quality computer generated action shots. Definitely worth missing and would rate as one of the worst movies ever made.

As a number of other reviewers have sad, this is a low budget film, the acting leaves a lot to be desired, the special effects are pretty crappy, it would have been a bit better if they had made the CGI USS Iowa at least look like the real thing, however in my opinion it is still well worth a watch.

I didn't expect much from American Warships. I only ordered this movie hoping the special effects would be good... they weren't. Special effects sucked (looked like screen shots from a 1990's video game), plot sucked, cast sucked, and the aliens looked liked they came from a 1970's episode of Doctor Who. One and a half hours of my life I won't get back. My vote for worst movie ever made.

Never liked Mario Van Peebles when he was young but I liked him in this pic. Too bad the movie was not the best. Boys might enjoy all the gun fire and the "save the world" type story. 30 years ago it was Russia as the bad guys now its China and Korea.......makes you wonder who will be next.

Well this movie is so bad there are no words to describe it.. I wouldnt even rate it a one but I had no option.

Absolutelyone of the worst movies I have ever seen. Acting was pathyetic, story line totally unbelievable and impossible to follow, graphics and special effects were pathetic and would have seemed ridiculous even 20 years ago. Don't waste your time on this garbage.

This was pathetic, good enough good base story ,but extremely tacky cleashays, would need mega dollars to be created with first class effects. they couldn't even make the cannons shooting in to the waters look 1/4 real rates lower than battle of los angeles 1/2 star rating for cleashays and glances from the leading role players

Oh my goodness. A clear rip-off of Battleship in the worst way possible EVER - if you have watched that then this is like a movie a child would make - and Battleship wasn't that hot!!! Utterly dismal special effects that had me laughing out loud (wait till you see the Navy Seals getting onto the invisible metal alien ship...oh my Goodness...) and a loose plot that could have been awesome with a budget above $100, but fails miserably. Wooden acting, way too much flag-waving good 'old U S of A patriotism, aliens that are rubbish and look like a woman's lower anatomy with arms and legs, and hideous action sequences including shell explosions repeated time and time again for cheap (and yet rubbish) special effects. Do not waste your time on this unless you are learning how NOT to make a movie...

DON'T BOTHER........ So bad its funny, Special Effects were pretty special.....yeah bad, Story line was just a copy of the other Battleships movies with some changes. So B Grade really should be a C grade film, just really bad all round.

If you like a good action/sci fi movie then...Give this one a miss

almost a good story. A good b grade movie of saving the wordl but for those who have seen Battleship it does not come close to it. Would have been good to watch first then let Battleship show how it should be done.

A low budget film that will make you laugh if you don't cry first. Some good dialogue, but special effects are sad. Takes me back in time, when we were easily entertained.

Absolutely hopeless, seen games with better digital effects. budget must have been miniscule. don't hire out quickflix, this does not deserve to be called a movie.
