Excellent Story, I think sum were expecting more about her dissaperance rather than who she was.
Well told Story, Really enjoyed it,
Hillary Swank done a fantastic job in bringing her to life.

Hilary Swank does an excellent job of playing Amelia: even down to the mannerisms and the way she walked and talked. One courageous and tough lady. One little girl who had a dream and did whatever it took to make it come true. How amazing what women can really do when something is so strongly in their heart's. She changed the face of flying forever. And who said we can't do it.
But as we know she was never found on the way home from her last flight. So close and yet so far to help and yet didn't make it. No one will ever know what really happened .
Bit slow in the watching but nevertheless inspiring.

I enjoyed this movie. The story of Amelia Earhardt is well told with Hillary Swank looking remarkably like the real Amelia.

Amelia feels a bit like movie-making by numbers for much of the first half, but it does improve, and by the end, we were quite into it. A solid performance from Hilary Swank, who seems to have really captured Amelia's bravado and courage. A reasonable film about quite a pioneer. 2 and a half stars.

An interesting movie though almost more on her love life than the flying. It's worth watching the deleted scenes as they tell you she was engaged to be married and what sort of work she was in before flying and about George's first wife. These filled out the story a bit more and would have been good in the movie.

I thought this movie was ok, despite getting some negative comments. I wouldn't suggest you rush out and watch it, but if you have some spare time it's worth a watch. Good acting by all and interesting story. 3.5 stars.

Only watched 40mins of it. Slow to get into...but also didn't feel like the relationship between Amelia and her husband was explored to the full. Felt like a ondensed movie...bits missing!! Boring!~

Very thin story-line... after a while, put on the sub-titles and fast-forwarded it by 2X, repetitive and boring - some good scenery by 2nd unit.

Yawn ... I didn't enjoy this film - I think it could have been done well, but they missed the mark - I can't be sure if it was the actors chosen, or storyline, or both? But something just didn't ring true for me.

Nicely tuned performances from the three stars:Hilary Swan, Richard Gere and Ewan MacGregor. I learned more about this famous woman who really was a pioneer in the true sense of the word. Lovely cinematography, the scenery was lovingly shot and has a sweeping quality. Not a great movie, but a nice steady companion on a lazy day.

Really good - nothing like fact put into a movie. Hilary Swank made a believeable Amelia when you see the real Amelia Erhart's photo. Well filmed and quite riviting in places.

Despite a few well know actors, I really wasn't overly impressed. This was an ok movie. You get an idea of what Amelia was like, but I don't think it went into great depth. I think the ending could have been a bit better, maybe even dealt with the aftermath of the disappearance.

As with many true life story it had some flat spots, Hilary Swank played the part of Amelia very well, with Richard Gere brillantly playing her Husband as would be expected from him and Ewan McGregor also excellent as the love interest. I imagine there was a lot of Amelia's life and accomplishments that we didn't see which was a pitty, I'm still not sure if she was reckless or a genuine adventurer? ? ? The ending was very emotional as you would expect, a pleasant movie and worth an evenings viewing but don't expect too much.

I think a mini series would have been more suitable than a feature. I felt we never really got to know the characters and I am sure Amelia did a lot more than what was shown in the film. Great performances from the leads.
