Despite all the great actors in this movie - it's terrible. They mumble and because they are all using a southern drawl so we could not understand a word.

Not a bad plot line, although Penn's character's metamorphosis was a bit too rapid to be believable. The movie was spoiled by the muddy sound and indistinct enunciation of the actors.

Compelling drama that shows the innocence and truth of politics before all moral integrity is lost. All beliefs are pure until the ego takes over. Sean Penn is fantastic in this role.

This film seem to drag on somewhat even though we are fans of Madonnas ex husband Sean Penn and good actors Anthony Hopkins, Jude Law

I watched the entire things and will never do so again BUT it wasn't too bad. Some of the time I coudln't understand a word that Sean Penn said but the talk overs by Jude Law helped set each of the scenes of what was happening and gave me the answers I needed.

The same old style of Movie that we've seen a hundred times before but a good cast and an acceptable level of movie. Don't rush out for it but if you enjoy this genre then there are worse efforts.

There was something missing from this film - maybe a bit more insight into the main character's motives - but good performance from Sean Penn. Not sure Jude Law is right in this one, or Kate Winslet for that matter. They just don't come across as Southerners like Penn does.

Not a bad yarn, more suited to people who like good acting at a slow pace. Sean Penn was a stand out and the story was very good. The first 20 minutes were a bit tedious but, if you stick with it, you'll enjoy it.

Would like to but sent me wrong DVD, This was called All The King's Men but was about some BBC movie about the Sandringham Royal Co. during the WWI, not the current one with Anthony Hopkins.

A story about how power corrupts. Though the movie was difficult to follow at times.
