This is probably one of the best films of all time. The quality is good for its time and it delivers a great and suspenseful film. I loved it from start to finish! It’s a must see classic.

Such an amazing atmospheric film. To this day (well yesterday) i don't think i had ever seen the whole thing from start to finish. But with 'Prometheus' coming out in June, I felt the need to watch the 4 Alien films.
For a film made in 1979, it looks so clear and sharp in Blu-ray format. The suspense is perfect, it has the right amount of light and shadows so your mind starts to play tricks on you. Excellent story and great acting by all. Amazing effect too.

Use to watch it on DVD. Nowadays, watching again on blu-ray on my 50 inch full high definition plasma TV makes the movie camera scenes up close so clear, you can see the aging lines of the actors' faces. Brings memories back after watching it again. Many lonely objects like the spacehelmet sit quietly while the music plays with your mind. The mothership was like a huge factory museum-like place of plastic and metal bits and pieces of all shapes and sizes, it's like you are walking and staring at the same time.

Alien was the original and the best Sci0fi movie ever. Apart from generating its own series of follow ups it also ended finally interacting with Predator in a couple (I think) of movies.
The atmosphere and effects in Alien set the baseline for all other space movies to follow and many movies went on to use components of Alien to make their own movies even better still. Hollywood owes a lot to Ridley Scott.

just amazing movie, the tension, the aliens and people dying in this movie makes this amazing horror movie and just looks amazing on blu ray. its a movie everyone should see.
