This epic was a total disaster. Not only do I want the 2 hours of my life back I wasted on this atrocious bore, but I also want compensation for the globe time I used to almost single handedly bore myself to death!!! Not only but also, why would you endure such pain for two hours, only to then be tortured that little bit more when Quickflix only put the first disc in the envelope. On second thoughts, I should be on my knees with utter gratitude that they didn't include disc 2, therefore compelling me to waste more precious globe time. Do yourself a favour, if this is in your queue, remove it immediately!!!!!!

Could have been so good, with a great cast . Its truly an "epic - an epic failure that is. Story was tedious eventually, could have been cut down to give it more pace , rarely have I seen a movie that feels like it goes longer than the life of the actual person.

What a bore! the only thing epic about this film was the level of pain I experienced giving it a half hour chance to actually progress the plot, it never happened and was ejected after my absolute pain threshold was reached. If you want something from the times of Alexander I recommend castration, It certainly won't try your patience as much as this dreadful "epic"

This 3 and a half hour epic version of Alexander is quite a good film and why it's regarded so poorly is a mystery. It has its flaws to be sure but Stone has re-created a world here that is beautiful, intriguing and brutal. This blu-ray version features great picture and audio along with some really good extras. Recommended.
