Imagine an ancient world where the sky can turn into an unpredictable and ruthless enemy. A world lit by a precious liquid only found in the throat of dangerous predators. In this world of snow and fog a small band of adventurers and hunters embark on a journey led by a tortured Captain. As they struggle to stay alive across the cold forbidden lands they will build true friendship lose loved ones and fight brutal creatures until truth is unravelled and vengeance is served. Ishmael a charismatic harpooner and his friend Queequeg join Captain Ahab (Danny Glover Lethal Weapon Saw) in his quest to hunt dangerous dragons for the vitriol that powers their world. Stubbs (Vinnie Jones Snatch X-Men: The Last Stand) Starbuck and the rest of the crew including the beautiful and tough Captain's daughter work the hunting vessel. Together they are driven deeper into the heart of darkness by Ahab's obsession to seek revenge on the great White Dragon that slaughtered his family when he was young and left his body scarred and mauled.

This was truly, desperately, unbelievably bad, Unsympathetic characters, oddball and un-engaging story, and terribly slow.

A spin on the old Ahab and the white whale fable (except the whale is a white dragon). Not really a movie, more of a made for television event; that is how the acting and story came off as. As a TV series this could of got 3 or 4 of seasons and would have been viewable if more of the underlying plot (dragon oil running the world) and characters were explored further. The constant rhetoric of Ahab's obsession with the white dragon became old, and the dragon battles were lame (the few that there were). Not a Blockbuster by any stretch of the imagination.

So bad. Lacks imagination. Would give half a star if I could. It's one thing to use an old story to inspire your own, but to just blatantly rip it off by swapping a whale for a dragon, it's way too bad.

I really don't see what people saw in this film, poor acting but beautiful landscape and how did they have a motorised vehicle when they are still lighting their lamps with dragon oil ??????????????

I really don't think this film deserves such negative comments. It certainly is not 5 star quality, it is a bit slow and I agree the acting could be better, although I have watched worse acting. The concept is interesting although it could have been better done, but still worth a watch in my opinion.

A very poor retelling of Moby Dick, with a dragon instead of a whale. Also one of Danny Glover's worst performances.

Its Moby Dick all over again, in this movie it is the white dragon they are hunting not the white whale. if i wanted to watch a story that is exactly on the same lines of Moby dick i would of hired Moby Dick.

Would have been nice to know this was just a re-working of the Moby Dick story. Had a few scenes that were bordering on okay. Rest is a snorefest.

Not too sure about this one. They have taken the story of Moby Dick the white whale and captain Ahab and substituted dragons in its place. It was enjoyable and easy to sit through but only three stars for this one

This one wasn't so good. 3 stars maximum. The idea probably wasn't bad, but it lacks action and momentum. maybe because it is a generally low budget movie.
