Actors: Geraldine Alejandra, Christopher Ruíz-Esparza, Carlos Aragón, Karina Gidi

Diego Luna (star of Y Tu Mama Tambien and Milk) steps behind the camera for Abel, where his comedic timing and penchant for creating lovable characters is used to full effect. Part whimsical drama, part laugh-out-loud comedy, Abel steps inside the mind of a boy, living in the mind of a man...

Abel lives in his own little world. Just released from a psychiatric hospital and unwilling to talk, he moves back home with his mum, his younger brother Paul and his teenaged sister Selene. After a few days Abel starts speaking - albeit rather maturely for a 9 year-old. Soon it becomes clear - Abel thinks he is the father of his little family! Happily commencing his fatherly duties, Abel spends time helping Paul with his homework and interrogating his older sister's new boyfriend. But when the real man of the house returns home from the United States, he threatens to destroy the strange calm in the family home.

Not what I was expecting, good acting but a bit slow and uneventful
