I'm not generally a fan of animations, but this one is exceptional. Skillfully rendered with stunning visuals, this totally unbelievable SF apocaliyptic future requires a large imagination stretch. Who cares! This is great entertainment. The little rag doll characters are full of character despite their simple (but detailed) structure. The blu-ray version contains the original Acker animation which is just as watchable. Great stuff

This movie is Fantastic the animation is excellent the detail terrific and the world it creates is oh so imaginative. I came on to this movie after watching Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and the "Making of" extra where a lot of the same people came together referred to 9. As I watched 9 I wondered which came first the game Little Big Planet or this (given the short that this film sprang from I would say call in the lawyers!). Tim Burton's movies Coraline and Nightmare before Chrismas are also exploring macabre rag/sack doll (or Burlap as the Yanks call it). I hope I get it for Christmas!

Post-apocalyptic film. Amazingly stunning & breath-taking animation. Shame it was only just over 1 hour long as I could've easily watched another hour.

Just loved this, as did the grandkids. A post-apocalyptic world poopulated by mechanical monsters and a threatened little group of rag-doll 'people'. It would have mede for a great video game. We watched it 3 times with great enjoyment.

I was bummed that missed this on it's theatrical run, but it is truly a movie primed for Blu-ray. The visuals are breathtaking in this format, and even with it's slight runtime I found the storytelling engaging. A great example of visual storytelling.

I liked it. It had a raw edge to it that no other animated film will go near. Its a Tim Burton produced, post apocalyptic war film about a race of little burlap creatures fighting for survival against the machines who have taken over and destroyed the planet. A great ensemble of voice actors, beautifully animated scenes. A must see for those who have seen the original short film '9' and for Tim Burton fans who like their films a little off centre.
