Philosophy and laughs combine to make a superb feel good film!
great story very enjoyable, the characters are great, well done movie - i'm not into the small musical moments i forwarded them, but it doesn.t change the feel of the movie and it's totally engaging character.
Never appreciated Bollywood movies, I had to give this flick a chance after suggestions from workmates and good reviews (apparently, made it to a 'reliable list' of the top 200 comedy movies of all time).
A lighthearted comedy, one needs to really be in a mood to tolerate college/Uni and male bonding antics, with side dishes of courtmanship and plenty of songs/dancing. A fresh breath from the usual Hindi movie storyline, I enjoyed this eventhough it took me 3 nights to cover it. Beware of its famous tagline, it'll stick in any idiot's memory for a long time.
Not that good turned it off
Never heard of it, but friends said is was great. Very long, but worth every minute. One of the great feel good movies we have seen over the last 12 months!
Absolutely hilarious. Not a big fan of indian movies but this movie made me laugh until i had a stomach pain.
Great story line and good music too !!
this film is full of events
very good humour and full of common sense
friendship, romanticism and purpose in life a, all in a lighthearted story.
great
This is one of the best films of 2010. The director has done a good job in showing the real college life of students in India. While the film maintains a good pace, the comic sequences make it easy to on the eyes to see the serious challenges the students go through.
The songs are very melodious and choreography is refreshing. All the actors especially Amir Khan have taken a lot of efforts to get into their characters. Although nearing 40, he has tried his best to look like a teen.
Its a must watch. :-)
This movie was recommended to me by a friend. Apparently it had them laughing in the aisles at a Bollywood film festival she went to. It did have some very amusing moments, but like all Bollywood movies it was long....very long. The dance scenes were largely entertaining (and not too many) and the 3 'idiots' were likeable characters. It has the usual Bollywood schmaltz and some interesting turns of plot. I am sure it has some local resonance as a social commentary on how some parents submit their offspring to extreme pressure to excel in their studies. I guessed the ending, but some other developments were unexpected. If this were a 2-hour film it would garner a 3-star rating, but at almost 3 hours it was just way too long.
