LOVED IT, ACTION FROM GO TO WHOA

Any movie with Jean Reno is usually good ... and this one is no exception. A pretty average script but made believable by the superb acting and the producer/director impact. Sub titled, but his seems to create no problems and it is well worth the viewing.

I like most Jean Reno movies and this was no exception. Violent and gruesome at times and an unlikely plot, but nonetheless entertaining, with plenty of action, some suspense and a touch of black humour. Some dialogue probably lost in translation.

Very good movie.. realistic acting, plenty of twists and turns.... It happens in France, so they speak French - adds realism a leader of a mob in Marseille, sells his businesses and quits. couple of years later. get shot 22 times, but survives.. Who killed him? Why?

This was an interesting if somewhat violent movie which showed the aspects of one mans quest for vengeance on those who sought to kill him and the consequences of his actions. Very entertaining and well worth a look into the French underworld ..

cool movie Jean Reno is a star in ANY language! He IS the character he portrays and is so true and believable!

A predictable plot but Jean Reno makes this an above average 'gangsters take revenge on each other' movie. After taking 22 bullets in an assassination attempt, Reno's character survives and yes, goes after those who tried to kill him. As I said, predictable.......but Reno manages to turn this into a very good movie, with his almost believable portrayal of a criminal with a conscience. Plenty of violence but the great acting makes it worth watching. Subtitles. Recommended.

I really like Jean Reno whether he is speaking English or French as the film has subtitles but easy to follow because it is very well made just like a Hollywood Block Buster

Jean Reno is always excellent. Violent, yes, but not just for the sake of it. I enjoyed this one.

I liked this movie - good action packed and one for the boys.

Jean Renu plays this part to perfection. Subtitles were a bit off putting at first but in the end added even more character to this already brilliant film!

Jean Renu is awsome as usuall this type of movie action or drama he is in my opinion the number 1 actor bar none ,in the world .a brilliant actor and a great film.worth watching every minute. i have given it one extra star to make it a perfect 5 ,Jean Renu deserves all 5stars.

Wasn't expecting it to be in French but that aside you get the impression it is very true to real life in the french mafia

Actors speak Friench. It is fine, I just wasn't ready. IMHO, story line is weak.

The film was quite violent, which took away some of its sheen, we thought. Otherwise, an entertaining story, albeit fairly routine. Interesting counterpart to the French Connection....

Excellent movie. Wasn't expecting the subtitles, and the pace of the movie makes this one a flick to watch when you can concentrate. Lots of violence, but not just for the sake of it. Really great movie with good plot and acting throughout. Loved it

Jen Reno does gangster very well, not his best but very easy to watch.

We found this movie disappointing. It contained what we felt was gratuitous violence and the plot was predictable. We are big fans of Jean Reno but this was not one of his best films in our opinion.

Yes it is not mentioned the movie is in French but what would you expect from a movie with so many French actors? A good movie that differs from those exaggerated revenge movies full of gadgets and unrealistic actions. Worth watching if you can handle subtitles (however those do not represent very well what is said in French... shame).

I agree. Had no idea the movie was not in english until we received it. Didnt even watch it due to this problem. Cant rate the movie on value base but as for Quixflix rating i rate 1 due to lack of advertising to show the language.

I dont like movies with sub titles and nowhere on the advertising did it mention this was the case with this movie.

Rated MA but I would still use caution with younger viewers due to the realistic and blood soaked scenes, and this is not recommended for sensitive movie watchers. Overall a good story line and well acted by its French cast. It is subtitled so no problems if you dont speak French. If you dont like subtitled movies then this isnt for you.

No doubt in a year or two this movie will be revised in English with rave reviews about a new movie, only can hope they beg Reno to again do this role. Honour amongst thieves does not sum up this movie but Jean Renos charactor is a man of principle no matter which side you play for. This is French mafia at its worse and best on film. It is very easy to wach even with the subtitles,it draws you in from the start with edge of your seat suspence, car chases only as french can do around curvy roads on the edge of the magnificent ocean, unspeakable acts of violence.An amazing movie 5 1/2 stars. will not spoil this movie by going into detail but if you loved the godfather series, watch this, you will not regret the time spent. cant recommend enough.

There is a fair amount of violence where you see the bullets actually hitting the people in slow motion and the blood, etc as well as other violence apart from shooting so be careful letting your young ones see this movie. It is a french movie and completely subtitled. Good story - no real good guy though you find yourself choosing the best of the bad guys to get behind.
