The Andromeda is accidentally jolted out of slipstream when Beka (Lisa Ryder) misses a decision point. The ship appears over the New Commonwealth planet, Baltria, home of the Ch’kadau people. It is a world so over-developed that nothing grows there anymore. Andromeda immediately receives a distress signal from the surface about a prison riot. Dylan agrees to come to their aid, but before he leaves he picks out an Old Commonwealth pin to wear as well as a small crystal with a red flower embedded in it. The crew arrives at a fortress containing the prison where they meet Patrius (Sebastian Spence), leader of Baltria. They view the riot on several monitors before going in to clean up....
The Andromeda is poised to enter the Route of Ages. Dylan (Kevin Sorbo) is chronicling the crew''s actions for the Commonwealth, who believe Telemachus Rhade (Steve Bacic) let Tyr Anasazi (Keith Hamilton Cobb) escape. He is hailed by Tyr who proposes a trade: The Star Map for Beka (Lisa Ryder). Instead, Dylan gives Beka the Andromeda''s coordinates, allowing Tyr to follow so they may find out what he knows about the Route of Ages and the universes beyond. Back on Arun-Roy, Tyr is slowly dropping his guard and letting Beka lure him to believe her loyalty lies with him. He tells her the Magog are much closer than anyone thought, only months away instead of years. Everything they know...
The crew comes across a Commonwealth transport under attack by Nietzschean ships. The ship has only two passengers, the pilot, Telemachus Rhade (Steve Bacic), and one prisoner who is none other than Tyr Anasazi (Keith Hamilton Cobb). The Andromeda fights off the Nietzscheans but Tyr gets away in an escape pod and is scooped up by the enemy ships. The crew rescues Rhade just before the transport explodes.
409 A group of scientists charged with the task of stopping the Magog invasions arrive on the planet Galena. Harper has been assigned the job of keynote speaker at the convention and is accompanied by Beka and Rommie.
