Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. A pale imitation of the original. It's been given the 'American' work over and it has destroyed the entire feel of the show. Do yourself a favour and watch the Danish Original.
A spellbinding and captivating series. Can't wait for the second series. Preferred it to the original Danish version only because if I wanted to read I would buy the book. If you liked Twin Peaks, you'll love this!
Couldn't stop watching till 1am we really enjoyed the whole series.
Great - can't wait to see more
Due to what I felt was poor sound, I lost interest after viewingfor half an hour. I did not bother to lok atthe second and third dis. However, when the fourth DVD arrived I had no other DVD's to watch and much to my surprise I saw the whole episode right to the end.
I still think there was something odd about the sound, but enjoyed the balance of the story.
This US series is brilliant yet slow paced. I actually really loved it and it kept me intrigued the whole way through, even when watching 4 episodes back to back. It's dark and dreary looking but that adds to the sombre mood of the film. Let's face it, murder isn't a happy subject. The series manages to intertwine people's lives throughout the story, so it's not just about finding the killer, but the effect it has on those around, in their daily lives. It's hard not to get involved and feel for these characters. It twists a little and throws up red herrings just to keep us guessing. I loved it and can't wait for season 2.
Love it! So not American! Crimes are not solved in a 45 min episode, the detectives are not glamorous. @Niamhk the other series id Danish and Quickflix has that one too.
the killing is a great series with alot of suspense and mystery keeps you guessing, but at the same time it is really dull and boring and gets a little confusing the show almost seems like its unscripted like the characters don't have to read the story, but by the end of every episode its hard not to want to watch more...
Quickflix should stock the original Dutch series which is brilliant. This isn't.
