The hit mockumentary TV comedy series parodying the Sydney Olympic Games organising committee

Presented by the formidable comedy team of John Clarke, Gina Riley, Ross Stevenson and Bryan Dawe, this hit ABC comedy series is comic genius at its best. A deadpan, satirical look at the bureaucrats in the throws of organising the extravaganza that will be the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the Games features humorous barbs at the 100m track, new technology, Y2K, land claims, strikes - and hits the mark every time!

I think I would have enjoyed this more if I didn't watch the whole disc in one sitting. It didn't move fast enough for me.

The most savvy comedy from Australia. John Clarke and his offsiders nail issues time and time again. I was worried this may have dated, but not a bit.

This was a great show in the lead up to the Sydney Olympics - classical however it is now dated and some of the topics it attempts to send up are no longer topical and we struggled to recall the issues.

Probably the best political satire ever made. "What do you mean it's not 100 metres?"

This series really shows the brilliance of John Clarkes writing as well as acting. The first episode is a bit slow while you get to know the characters, but after that if it doesn't get you laughing, check for a pulse.
