Too much blood & gore for me. . . I'll go back to 'True Blood' at least we have hot vampires in that series! ! ! !

Too much blood if a person lost that much blood like Spartacus did in every fight he would have been dead each time. Too much swearing I can't imagine that they would have sworn so much in those days. The acting wasn't very good at all. It was just unrealistic in any way shape or form.

Great blood and gore action movie with a bit of sex for light relief. Only suitable for those who appreciate that sort of movie.

Addictive! Violent and a little x-rated, so if you're easily grossed out or a bit prudish, then this is not for you. Not sure what it says about me that I loved series 1 but I doubt I'll be the only one!

Andy Whitfield is fabulous (RIP Andy) as are Xena and John Hannah. Visually similar in style to 300 - if you're squeamish about lots of slow-mo blood spurts avoid. But if you're into gladiator action you'd expect it, really. Highly recommended if you like this genre.

Totally over the top, dodgy acting and dodgy accents abound. Once you get past the first couple of eps its actually quite good.
