A good detective yarn which is a little dated
Very good viewing. Had to watch it in two sittings though. 20 years old but I've never watched any of the Prime Suspects. Looking forward to the next disc!
Helen Mirren is stunning!!! Awesome watch!
Classic TV show, well worth a watch. Love to see more of this series.
Really enjoyed this mini-series and watched it for several nights in a row which is unusual for me. Helen Mirren is really good and so believable.
Great story telling and suspense
The original and the best, not that there are any duds in this fine series. This first one seemed the freshest, that's all.
Helen Mirren mysteries are always edge of your seat movies. Cannot wait to get the next volumes. Excellent!!!!!
Brilliant stuff. I had determined to watch only the first part before going to bed
but could not turn it off. This is the most gripping crime series I have seen and
was, surprisingly, pretty free of bad language. Pity the more recent British
programs couldn't also abstain.
This was excellent! Helen Mirren at her best, what a great story and fantastic acting and no swearing - we loved it and hung on to the edge of our chairs.
Good to back to where it all started.
Helen Mirren is always brilliant to watch.
However, this is now looking very dated and the show was too long, could have (should have) been wrapped up in an hour.
As a social commentary, watch out for all the (now) politically incorrect
Still worth watching.
Typical high quality British Crime Drama.
Gripping stuff. Well acted, especially Helen Mirren who plays the key role. Great storyline too.
Seen it before, but still loved it.
Always enjoyable these Prime Suspect movies
I rented this as I've always loved the combination of Lynda La Plante's writing and Helen Mirren's acting. Both are excellent and the whole production is British Crime at its best.
Fabulous. No one does police shows like the British.
The first in a superb series, featuring the very fallible DI Tennison. I've seen it before, but it has lost none of its style and certainly does not come across as 'dated'.
