More secrets, drama and romance in the hit BBC series. The heart-warming and beautifully shot drama series returns with more delightful comedy, intrigue and romance from the late 19th Century hamlet of Lark Rise and its prosperous neighbouring town, Candleford. When Daniel Parish, a handsome and ambitious young journalist arrives in Candleford, it seems that the fortunes of the Timmins family are about to change. But would the family really want a move to Candleford and is the stranger all that he seems? Elsewhere, Dorcas is learning about the joys and trials of motherhood; the Pratt sisters are keeping secrets from one another; Thomas and Margaret are adjusting to married life; Twister is getting into his usual scrapes while Queenie dispenses more of her homespun wisdom; and Minnie is on a mission to win Alf’s heart.

Gentle series - enjoyable but maybe not for those who like action. Beautifully filmed and acted. Looking forward to the next series

This is a charming series with lovable characters. It is slow but so was the time it is set in and you get to experience their problems of that era eg. measles epidemic. What seem like small problems to us today were huge problems then. My husband thought is boring for the first 20 minutes and now he is hooked on it. Beautifully filmed and acted with plenty of subtle humour.
