Actor: Kellan Lutz

Baghdad, Iraq 2003. Mission: Unclear. Enemy: Unidentified. Duration of tour: Unknown. It was impossible for the marines of the First Recon Battalion to anticipate what would occur during those first 40 days of the Iraq War as they found themselves struggling with shoddy supplies, frustrated by the chain of command and questioning the mission at every turn. Fused with camaraderie, faith and fury, Generation Kill brings you the gritty, raw, and brutally honest insider's look at what has become of this contemporary American war.

Based on the account of a Rolling Stone journalist who was embedded with the marines as they rolled into Iraq. Written/produced by Ed Burns and David Simon (The Wire - best series ever), Generation Kill is totally gripping television. The writing and acting is first rate. True Blood fans will enjoy seeing Alexander Skarsgard without the goth makeup. Wire fans may enjoy seeing Ziggy again...

pulls you inside the Marines recon unit almost from the opening moments, and just gets better with each episode. manages to be both entertaining and disturbing at the same time. David Simon
