Series 6 Part 1 sees the Doctor return in 7 thrilling brand new episodes. The Doctor together with newlyweds Amy and Rory face monsters, mysteries and adventures across time and space. Together they find themselves in Sixties America, battling the invasion the world forgot, then journey on the high seas of 1696 aboard a pirate ship, to solve the mystery of the Siren. The Doctor meets an old friend with a new face and waiting for them is the battle of Demon's Run, and the Doctor's darkest hour. Silence will fall and a good man is going to die... The DVD's contain the eps: The Impossible Astronaut, Day of the Moon, The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Doctor's Wife, The Rebel Flesh, The Almost People, A Good Man Goes to War. Only one of these has been nominated for a 2012 Hugo Award. Honestly as far as SF on TV is concerned it's Doctor Who then daylight second....... (see the reviews for s6 p2)

I am a great Dr Who fan. These episodes are up to the expected high standard. Although David Tennant was in my opinion the best Dr ever, some of his episodes were a little over the top. These ones by Matt Smith are better and fall more into the normal "believable" Dr Who plots.
