Love the whole series. Ashes to Ashes (and its predecessor, Life On Mars) has to be the cleverest, most addictive mystery saga ever made for television. Time-travel and crime. And a final episode in the third series that you will have to rewind just to be sure you got it right. The Eighties (as seen through the eyes of DI Alex Drake, who appears to be time-travelling) is so fabulously done. The music and fashion is all there, but it's the compulsive plot that kept me hooked.

You are either a fan of this series, or you are not. I am. I watched this series on TV and just had to see it again. Cops and crooks in London, in the early 1980s and sometimes hard to tell which is which - which is a theme of the series. Thatcher in power and 1980s music gives the background to this exciting and unusual series. Hawes and Glenister are excellent but there is also a good team of support actors. 'The Bill' it is not. Fire up the Quattro - time to catch some crooks boys .....and ladies.
