Writer, performer and director Chris Lilley takes his acutely observed comedy style, mastered in We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High, to the next level. Angry Boys brings to life six vastly different characters, all with one thing in common: they will entertain and intrigue, as their private worlds are revealed. Daniel and Nathan Sims, from We Can Be Heroes, are still living on the family farm in Dunt. Joining the boys in this series; former surfing world champion Blake Oakfield, US rapper S.mouse, Japanese mother Jen Okazaki, who manages her sons skateboarding career, and Juvenile Justice Centre for Boys officer Ruth Sims, aka Gran.

This series was about 6 (out of 12) episodes too long. The Smouse character did have some funny moments, but because of the length of this series the funny stuff was drowned out by the lame stuff. If this series was edited down to 6 episodes then it certainly would have been as good as the Chris Lilley series.
Disc 3 is just extras, so if you're not interested in those then just get discs 1 and 2.

TJP below is absolutely correct. This series is such a let-down compared to Chris' previous series. The rapper Smouse was just the pits - an awful character clearly created to suit Lilley's American HBO paymasters. I cancelled the remaining disks. Thumbs down.

Not as funny as some of Chris' other characters. There was one rapper character in this that brought the rest of it down. I found that I couldn't enjoy it after he appeared and then cancelled getting the remaining disks
