The late Charlton Heston gives his last performance here, which is undoubtedly one of the greatest screen roles. Heston plays Josef Mengele, the criminally insane doctor who operated in Auswitz during WWII. While hiding in South America in 1970s, Mengele meets his son, Hermann, for the first time who faces an impossible dialema: does he help his parent or give him up to the police, thus condemning him to a certain death?
