Mothra travels into the atmosphere to stop a meteor, unknowingly transporting cells from Godzilla and Biollante into a giant black hole in outer space. From the black hole a mutant Space Godzilla is created and travels to Earth to do battle with Godzilla and the robot Mogera. Once an enemy, now Godzilla will fight to save mankind.
